How to Admin translation pages?

United States
I see a lot on this site for managing the translation process of specific wiki pages, but what about the overall administration? Specifically, I would like to see, in a single view, a list of all pages that belong to "translation group"; with the ability to sort by language.

For example, as site administration, I would love a single view like this:

Sorting view by: English
Page (English) and VersionTranslationVersion
Page One, version 3Page Uno (Spanish)
Page One, fr (French)
Version 3
Version 2 (Out of sync)
Page Two, version 3Page Two, es (Spanish) version 3
(missing)Page Foo (Spanish)
Page Bar (French)
Page Foo, de (German)
version 3
version 3
version 2

With a view like this, I can quickly and easily see that:
  • Page One, fr is out of sync with its English and Spanish versions
  • Page Two has only been translated into Spanish
  • I'm missing an English version of Page Foo, Page Bar, and Page Foo, de

Any thoughts of adding this type of overall view to Tiki?

Yes, that's really important also. We have some User Tasks that relate to that:

Function Group D: Translation Effort Management and Coordination

but we delayed them to later iterations because we think wiki pages can be used as an interim solution for managing the translation process. In other words, managers of translation on the site could create a series of pages on the site, which they would use to track what needs to be done, who it's assigned to, etc...

This is how it's done in Wikipedia mostly.

But I agree that eventually, this should be more automated.

Thank you for the suggestion ricks99. I added a link to this post from the function group D page. I don't know if I will have time to get to those by the end of iteration 4, but at least the idea won't be lost.

The actual display of the information might not exactly like that, but I like the idea of having a dashboard. Not certain this only aims for admins however. I think anyone willing to translate content could benefit from it.
