Why English only / Pourquoi en anglais seulement ?
Est-ce que quelqu'un d'autre que moi se rend compte du degré d'absurdité inhérent au fait qu'on discute ici de traduction de wikis, entre gens de diverses langues, mais toujours en anglais.
J'ai récemment échangé avec un hispanophone qui m'écrivait en espagnol, je lui répondais en français, et je trouvais le processus optimal.
Est-ce que le fameux "eating our own dog food" ne devrait pas s'appliquer aussi à la langue?
On explique qu'il n'y pas de langue maitresse, mais on fait tout en anglais...
To my English friends. I think what goes on here is absurd, we are discussing wiki translation, between people who speak various languages, but all in English.
Recently, I had written contacts with someone who speaks Spanish, he wrote Spanish to me, and I wrote French to him, that was really the best way to do things.
Should not the notorious "eating our own dog food" also apply to the language? We say there is no master language, but we do everything in English.
